With its workload analysis capabilities VISUALjob for Control-M answers the following questions for you:
How did certain jobs perform on a certain date?
What was the impact of certain jobs on the batch flow and batch window?
What trends can I identify in my batch window?
How can I optimize my batch flow?
Within the GANTTview all jobs are shown against a timeline and in relation to each other, allowing you to see exactly have they affected each other for a specific production run. Timelines indicate a jobs run and that jobs average runtime, allowing you to have an immediate comparison.
When calculating and displaying average run times in the GANTTView, VISUALjob for Control-M allows for the use of different statistical models, based upon the different type of production runs. For example; average run times differ between month end, quarterly and daily production runs.
Histograms showing the number of jobs running in parallel and the average CPU consumption provide a complete picture, which is otherwise difficult, if not impossible, to gain. Bottle-necks and other potential problem areas can be identified and the required actions to avoid these problems can be made in a proactive way.
