<< Back    VISUAL|job for TWS - Workload Analysis

With its workload analysis capabilities VISUALjob for TWS answers the following questions for you:
  • How did certain jobs perform on a certain date?
  • What was the impact of certain jobs on the batch flow and batch window?
  • What trends can I identify in my batch window?
  • How can I optimize my batch flow?
Within the GANTTview all jobs are shown against a timeline and in relation to each other, allowing you to see exactly how they have affected each other for a specific production run. Timelines indicate a jobs actual runtime and that jobs average runtime, allowing you to have an immediate comparison.

When displaying the actual duration of an operation in the GanttView, VISUALjob for TWS also shows the expected duration of this operation originally calculated by TWS for z/OS. With this, actual runtimes can easily compared with TWS expected durations.

Histograms showing the number of jobs running in parallel complete the production picture, which is otherwise difficult, if not impossible, to gain. Bottle-necks and other potential problem areas can be identified and corrective actions can be made in a productive way.
